Optima can provide customised training programs for page layout software or specific publishing solutions. Our training is based on years of experience in design and print and in our training we will show you how to get the most out of your software, how to manage the publishing process through to making ready for print. We are independent from any software supplier and can give you guidance on what's best for your business and the budgets you have. If you are just looking to build your own training programme we can also offer a modular option.

We can provide introductory to advance training on the following software: Quarkxpress, Indesign, Corel Ventura, Framemaker, MS Word, MS Publisher, Acrobat and Coreldraw
::Publishing solutions
Optima can build a bespoke training programme to help clients achieve self-publication and management of their own publications using a combination of client's own software packages and templates designed by Optima. By learning the necessary components of the programme combined with using a specially designed template, consistent and professional results are achievable.
Example training packages:
- Creating a range of sales and marketing material using templates in a programme of your choice, making use of branding style guides, importing data from Excel and preparing for print or output to pdf.
- Updating web pages and building new pages from supplied templates.
- Creating a mail merge using Word, importing data and preparing merge letter.
- Producing an annual report, understanding and formatting tabulated data, preparing and customising images for import.

Consider using our modular training programme for just half a day. Optima can provide an ad hoc service where we provide training bite sessions for different members of staff.

There are times when you may need just a little help improving one aspect of your skills knowledge, or are looking to build your own training course with content of your choice. We can provide a modular approach for a wide range of publishing programmes, combination of programmes or page layout techniques.
Example modular options:

::Dates and Venue
Training sessions are conducted at clients premises or by special arrangement, one-to-one sessions can be offered in our premises. Dates are arranged at mutual arrangement.
::Costs
Modular, Introductory and advance courses:
Microsoft Word day rates start at £200 per day plus vat for one person, £300 plus vat for two people.
Quarkxpress, Indesign, Ventura, Framemaker day rates start at £250 per day plus vat for one person, £350 plus vat for two people.
Bespoke training packages:
Training costs are as above plus in addition the cost for creating templates and preparing training course material, prices start at £150 plus vat.
